So Monday morning I posted:
The Dumbest Wisconsin Blog Post on Gangs, and for that Matter, Any Subject. Ever.
That afternoon I changed a few words in the body and wrote and posted with a new headline:
The boys over at Boots and Sabers got all over it, getting a bit cute:
Paul Soglin wrote a post in response to a post of mine... at 1332 of the same day, he reposts the same post...The two posts are almost identical except for a couple of things...
...So, why did he change it? ...
...It looks to me like Paul wrote his rather hyperbolic first post. Then he talked to the Madison Police Chief and might have known that he would be referenced on TV. So he went back and tried to make his post look more professional. But he never removed the old version.
It’s no big deal, but it just shows the difference between what some liberals say when they think that few people except their sycophants are looking and what they say when they expect a wider audience.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
I reposted with the new title and the slight change of content because I was told I had a greater chance of getting it picked up by others if I softened the headline. Since the content was so important, I agreed to do that, wanting the widest distribution possible.
The referenced conversation with Police Chief Noble Wray was in April. Duh.
For a wider audience I would have loved to stay with the original post and headline.
But not all is lost on these boys. True to form, their commentary is all on style, not content. Since they failed to rebut a single item in the post, I guess they concede the point.

I looked carefully. You're right. The boots are deceiving.
