Jim Arndt, at Pretty Important Politics, has discovered a secret GOP plot to aid pumpkin farmer Terrence Wall defeat Russ Feingold next year:
How are Republicans going to beat a tax cutting, deficit reducing, bipartisan working, health care supporting Wisconsin legend?
They better convince us he’s a Bears fan.
Hard to imagine, but desperate candidates and parties will try anything. Wall will throw anything he can find (or make up) at Russ next year, so now we'll be ready for the worst.

You mean, just standing up and yelling that he's a liberal democrat won't get the job done anymore? Who knew. When will the the Republicans realize that sending up the millionaire of the month to defeat democrats isn't going to work? Watching, what, Michaels debate Feingold in the last time around was almost painful.

You're only fifteen years behind on the anti-Bears sentiment. Try Cubs or Vikings.

Exactly, I only feel sorry for the Bears. If I wanted to think someone was a douchebag, I'd have him wearing a purple 4 jersey with a backwards Cubs hat and an Old Style in his hand.

Wall will team up with Catholic bishops and denounce Feingold on "life" issues. Wait and see.

I would like to commend Russ for his excellent position on No Child Left Behind. He is one of the few Democrats that gets it on education. Wish he'd do more to reframe "accountability". Most Dems are caught in the only standardized testing is accountability mindset. Russ has broken out of that school destroying model but needs to better articulate the many, better tools some teachers and schools use to show their communities accountability. His proposed amendment to fund other (in my view better) measures is a first start, but runs up against Arne Duncan's meritless proposal for more standardized testing (and Dunc's totally stupid idea to tie teacher pay to these discredited standardized instruments).

The next thing Wall will do is accuse Russ of being a slave to Nancy Pelosi. I can predict this, because he did just that in a WisPolitics interview. I got a post coming on that garbage too...
Thanks for the link!

Let me clear. Russ Feingold is not a fan of the White Sox, Cubs or Bears. If I had 100 Russ Feingold's in the US Senate, I would achieve even less.
