I'd settle for Wisconsin Supreme Court, and there is an election in April he could win.

As long as we are fantisizing, how about Secretary of Defense? I know it sounds like I am being sarcastic but think about how great it would be if we could withdraw from our wars.

Mmmmmm...... That's a nice thought. The confirmation hearings would be thing to behold.

U.S. Representative Peter DeFazio is still going forward with his duty to investigate S.C. Judge John Roberts testimony before the Congress and Senate of the United States. Did Roberts violate his own oath not to overturn existing law? DeFazio is looking for some lawyerly help in reading the transcripts determining if a solid case exists.
The preeminent, most grave, help he could contract would be Senator Russ Feingold.

Obama is too conservative to appoint any liberal to the Supreme Court.

So far he appointed two women who were carefully inside the corporate-mainstream Washington consensus about power in our society. Russ is outside that frame and thus not acceptable to Obama.

I do not put anything past Obama. He's a gamesman who loves to wow the audience. Plus, he is still a politician in training - hardly at the top of his game. But I have no idea what kind of judge Feingold would make. At least he couldn't be a career politician if appointed!
