Read the details at Xoff: Rowen gets Walker's dander up . Jim Rowen wrote something in the Capital Times, Walker would be wise to step aside in favor of Rep. Green , and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker went into a frenzy: Doyle and the Democrats Fear Walker.
Then Bill Christofferson reports, Brian Fraley offered to "hold their coats." Wow. Since all the parties are disclosing: Rowen and I go back over three decades, and neither of us has changed sides. Go Jim.
Thanks, Paul.
The oddest thing about Walker's post was not its now-corrected original reference to "Berkley" University, but his effort to discredit me by noting my marriage to Susan McGovern, George McGovern's daughter.
Say what?
George McGovern - - former minister, decorated World War II Army Air Force pilot, teacher/Ph.D, book author, presidential candidate, three-term US Senator, Food-For-Peace program director, UN World Food Program Ambassador - - is viewed as a senior statesman these days, even among Republicans.
In fact, George and former Kansas Republican Senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole co-authored a book last year, "Ending Hunger Now, A Challenge to Persons of Faith,' so I'm not sure if Walker scores any points with his goofy 'attack.'

In this ethically-challenged world, it is difficult to take serious any politican who lacks respect for a Senator like George McGovern who was always above reproach.
