Fresh from sparring over the Wisconsin "Conceal and Carry" struggle, in which the side of righteousness prevailed, we now bring you the position of the National Rifle Association (NRA) on Internet Censorship and the First Amendment:
The Internet is still safely in American hands—for now—but this fight, like the global efforts to disarm Americans, will never go away.
And neither will our duty to protect the sanctity of the First Amendment with the vigor equal to our defense of the Second Amendment.
For those without the stomach to link to the NRA page, basically what Wayne LaPierre is saying is that the NRA will fight any effort by those who would censor, block or intimidate Internet users. Note that he believes the source of concern is an International Conspiracy, headed by the United Nations, not the Bush administration.
