I'm sure you're right that there will be attacks and I'm also sure that there are alot of people that don't know anything about Butler.

What I would like to know about Justice Butler is; what has he done as a Justice of the Supreme Court to make sure our Courts throughout the State are fair and inpartial? I would also like to know if he has done anything to help victims of an unjust Judge to get Justice?

At this point I don't think he has done anything and I'm willing to try someone new.

I know plenty about Luigi Butler. Diane Sykes (was married to Charley) trounced Luigi 10 years ago. After she was seated on the Court of Appeals in Chicago, a vacancy appeared on the WisSupCrt. Who did Gov DumDum Doyle nominate? No one else but Luigi Butler who Wisconsin clearly rejected in 1998. DumDum Doyle was within his rights--but out of his mind--to name this guy. Wisconsin voters will send Luigi packing like they did 10 years ago.

If another SupCrt seat opened up, who wants to wager Doyle would select LINDA CLIFFORD? Clifford has no judicial background to look into like Annette Ziegler did. That qualifies Clifford as a JUDICIAL ACTIVIST. Right, Soggy One?

Actually, I am a full time employee of Marquette. Teaching those two classes (which is a full time load) is only one of my responsibilities.

But, rather than call what I said "nonsense" or dismiss it because WMC did the video (for which I was not paid and which mentioned Louis Butler only in passing), why don't you respond to something I said?

As far as I've been able to tell, the term "Judicial Activist" means nothing more than "Judge who disagrees with me." Judges at the Supreme Court level (national and state) are charged with interpreting the constitution (national and state). If a judge makes a decision you disagree with, you could simply chock it up to a difference in philosophy or you could consider your own interpretation infallible and accuse the judge of being an "activist" with some vague agenda to subvert the constitution to the nefarious ends of the gay agenda and big-immigrant. (I don't think I'm being unfair in crediting conservatives with near-exclusive use of this particular meaningless slur.)

At any rate, it seems that substance won't be allowed to stand in the way of WMC's particularly brazen attempts to pack the Supreme Court. Pity for us.
