Hillary's 8:30 PM event at Monona Terrace in Madison--will she cancel?

She ought to, ice is bad; please post if you hear anything.

Troy Thiel

I was just out and about between downtown...roads were pretty fine, slushy, some standing water but not slick...of course we just got new tires on the all wheel drive Subaru wagon and it's a peach on slick roads....I think it was still too warm to ice over...THAT will be bad tonight. Unfortunately, the Sundance theaters were closing after only one show...we were going to catch the Oscar Live and Animation shorts they've packaged (actually I was going to duck over to In Bruges while the fam checked out the anime)...darn.

And Blue Moon was closed...where am I going to watch the NBA all star game...?

Wonder if Hillary made it into town, she's going to get snowed in...maybe she'll be at the Crystal Corner relaxing tonight?

No Clinton today

The Hillary Clinton event was definitely canceled ( until Monday as of an hour ago.

Goodness, there were many worse storms in Madison, even when you were mayor. Remember them?
Blogging Unless the Power Goes
LOL ....
I've been working on a mini-ITX solar powered system ( I hate laptops, OK? ).
It uses a jetway J9F2-KHDE with a 2 GHz core2-duo mobile processor.
I have a 30.6 amp-hr gell cell and a 30 amp ProStar charge controller.
Only one small solar panel so far, a Sunwize 24 watt polymer coated ( not glass ).
But then we still need a Satellite internet connection to keep you blogging.....

Regards ...

To the south

4:45 p.m. Iowa homeowners have decided to directly shovel snow from their driveways into their basements, as there's nowhere left to put it and it's where it'll go come spring anyway. We'll have to store our Crystal Light elsewhere.

Barry Orton

I spent all day watching several large branches hanging over my power line, swaying in the wind and heavy with ice. You weren't wrong to get those batteries out.

Where you are wrong is that Crystal Light sucks.

james wigderson

She told you it was okay to remove the limb and get the phone line out of the snow? Because she has super-vision and can see through the phone you were right that it was the phone line and not the power line?

I know you and Orton are probably marked men by ATT, but telling you to go risk electrocution is a little extreme.

I bet she owns a bicycle.

"You have not much future there. It will happen this way. You may be walking. Maybe the first sunny day of the spring. And a car will slow beside you, and a door will open, and someone you know, maybe even trust, will get out of the car. And he will smile, a becoming smile. But he will leave open the door of the car and offer to give you a lift."
