Soglin Named to Overture Oversight Committee

Yesterday, Mayor Dave Cieslewicz picked members of an ad hoc committee to review the future business plan of the Overture Center, and (surprise!) Waxing America proprietor Paul Soglin made the list. Madison Mistress of All Alternative Media (MAAM) Brenda Konkel has the story and list here.  The City Council must confirm the appointments, which are all local political, business and cultural bigfoots, but I can't imagine much resistance. (I can imagine Mark Bugher trying to run a committee meeting with Paul Soglin and Tim Bruer as members, but I wouldn't want to attend.)
