East Johnson Street is Open!

I am happy to announce that all traffic lanes on East Johnson Street are now open! Alder Ledell Zellers, the Capitol East Business Association, YELP Madison, Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Association members, and I celebrated the completion of the construction project with a ribbon cutting followed by the “Jam on Johnson” event.

Some area businesses provided complimentary food and drinks to enjoy while listening to live music. About 300 people came out to join in on the fun on a cold day.

While it was a long process of construction, we are excited to welcome shoppers and restaurant goers alike back to the area!  Thanks to the local merchants and volunteers who made this celebration such a success!
